Pop3ImageGrabber is a Windows application that retrieves each email in a POP3 mailbox and saves any multimedia attachments (image, audio, video) along with a pseudo-XML file that contains the subject, date sent, and from fields plus an entry for each attachment.

It is intended to be used to easily access digital photos emailed from mobile telephones. Once the images and details are saved to disk a dynamic web-page script can display the images.

If the attachment is an image Pop3ImageGrabber creates a thumbnail image using the maximum dimensions specified in the application's configuration file, and maintains the aspect ratio. I use my IMemoryStream component for moving data between COM and managed code using streams.
